Seine satirischen Mottowagen sind einer der Höhepunkte des Düsseldorfer Karnevals. Der Film zeigt, wie sich Jacques Tilly trotz anfänglicher Widerstände nach und nach seinen Freiraum erarbeitet hat. "Die große Narrenfreiheit“ – so heißt der Film. Eine Hommage, die am Montagabend gleich zwei Mal im CINEMA in der Düsseldorfer Altstadt gezeigt wird.
